Preschool Lessons, Classes, & Events
At Stagecoach Stables, we believe it’s never too early to begin building a love and respect for horses. Our preschool programs are designed to introduce young children to horses and ponies in a safe, gentle, and engaging way — fostering confidence, curiosity, and compassion from the very beginning.
From one-time events to ongoing riding lessons, we offer a range of age-appropriate experiences to meet kids where they are and help them grow in connection with horses.
Preschool Pony Pals Program
A gentle, joy-filled introduction to horses for your littlest animal lovers! Designed for children ages 3–6, this bi-monthly class invites young kids to build confidence, curiosity, and connection around ponies in a safe and supportive environment.
Each class includes:

Time to brush and bond with one of our friendly ponies

A lead-line ride with their grown-up nearby

A story, craft, or seasonal activity to wrap up the fun

Activities rotate by season and include things like painting ponies, scavenger hunts, and pony dress-up days!
This program is the perfect way to spark early love for horses while nurturing kindness, coordination, and confidence. No prior experience needed! Sign up for one, or sign up for them all!

Lead Line Lessons
If you have a child aged 3-6 who isn't quite ready for regular lessons yet, but would enjoy time to meet, groom, and get to ride a horse or pony, these are a great option! These sessions are available year-round so call us to schedule your session today!
$45 per 45-min session
Rising Riders Program
This program is a level up from our Lead-Line Sessions and will help kids take the next step on their journey of loving and learning about horses. Specially designed for kids ages 3 to 5 who want to keep progressing in their skills and to spend more time at the barn, but who aren’t quite old enough or ready for our regular Riding Lesson Program. Rising Rider students may come weekly or every-other-week for a 50-minute lessons. This program is tuition-based and keeps the same session schedule as our Riding Lessons.
